2007 Committees

Community and Economic Development and Trade - Chair
The House Community and Economic Development and Trade Committee considers issues relating to local and state economic development, business assistance and financing, tourism, and other related concerns. Community development issues include revitalizing and building self-sufficiency for low-income communities and preserving communities with distinct cultural identities. The committee also considers issues relating to domestic and international trade.

Appropriations
The House Appropriations Committee considers the operating budget bill and bills with fiscal impact. In addition, the committee specializes in pension policy.

Appropriations Subcommittee on Education
The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Education considers issues relating to funding of early learning, K-12, and higher education programs and agencies and makes funding recommendations to the Appropriations Committee.
